The Lost Bride
Photo Exhibition by Rinat Zemach Levy and Mali Aroesti
A series of photographs illustrates the distance between the legendary image of the bride on her wedding day as opposed to actual life as a wife and mother, a life which is complex and complicated.
The project presents various scenes from daily routine: preparing lunch, watching kids on the playground and more. The gap between the white and magnificent wedding dress and the ordinary day-to-day actions creates stress and dissonance which points out the conflict between the dream of marriage and the life of the marriage itself. The exhibition is divided into three parts: the dream phase, the "doing" phase and the last phase of the disillusionment.
